Cherokee elder tells story to grandson:

"There is a battle between two wolves inside us all."
"One of the wolves is full of of anger, envy, jealousy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, lies, false pride.
The other wolf is full of joy, peace, gratitude, love, serenity, kindness, generosity, compassion, humility, benevolence."

The grandson is in deep thought for a moment and then asks his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The Cherokee elder replies: "The one you feed."

Happiness

Happiness needs no reasons. Unhappiness needs reasons; happiness is simply natural. It is one's very nature that one should be joyous.
